Funding boost for Hayle Youth Project

July 26th, 2017|Comments Off on Funding boost for Hayle Youth Project

Hayle Youth Project has been awarded more than quarter of a million pounds to help local children in the town. The grant from the Big Lottery Fund will transform the lives of young local people and will help them move onto the next level. Project manager Jacqueline Hart has spoken of her delight at the news. She said: "We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded this grant from the Big Lottery Fund's Reaching Communities programme. "It means we can expand our much needed services and continue to work with local young people." Hayle Youth Project was set up in 1999 and has evolved from running from a small shop to now working with more than 200 young people a year from their purpose built well-resourced youth centre. It offers five diverse programmes which range from one-to-one mentoring to a holiday activities programme. Ms Hart added: "I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Hayle Youth Project team and management committee for all their hard work and support." Anybody looking to learn more about Hayle Youth Project's services can call Jacqueline on 01736 755790.

A new website for Hayle Youth Project

February 27th, 2017|Comments Off on A new website for Hayle Youth Project

We decided to revamp the website at Hayle Youth Project as the old one, well, stopped working basically. We thought it would be good to get a website that's easy to read and that contained all the information on what we do at Hayle Youth Project and the services we offer. The new website was made by Nigel Pengelly, a former Cornwall Council and PCDT youth worker and we're quite pleased with it. Please do let us know what you think and if there is anything that should be added (or even should be taken off) the new website. We'll be adding news and events to the website so do keep coming back and checking for updates.
